Welcome back to the Shavonne blog. We put lots of information on this blog for you to read but you really don’t know that much about us. Well today I am going to tell you a little bit of information about each one of us.

Mr. Don Gist is the President of Shavonne Corp. He has been in this business since 1956. If you have questions about how jewelry is manufactured or need a special project made he is the person to talk to. Mr. Gist has lots of interesting blogs on the making of fashion jewelry. He is a very unique character who loves to joke around with us and make sure we are all doing well. He has a wealth of knowledge in this business and you may contact him by e-mail at don@shavonne.com .

Mrs. Shannon McCracken is Senior Vice President of Operations. Shannon advises us on all policies and procedures that we have here at Shavonne. She also oversees the billing and shipping of the packages. She keeps all of us girls here in line and in the know so we can make sure your needs are met. Mrs. Frances Perian is Senior Wholesale Division Manager. Frances is involved in all the day to day aspects of Shavonne. She works in the vault with all the girls answering any questions we have and solving any problems we may have. Frances also pulls all win/win orders and does the call backs for the wholesale inquiries. She also helps Shannon to keep us advised on proper procedures and policies. Frances makes sure we know what is to be done for the day and who needs to be doing a specific task. Frances has a dry sense of humor that always keeps us guessing if we should take her serious or not. She keeps us on our toes with her wonderful wit.

Mr. Bruce Lance is the Webmaster. You have already seen the great work he has done with our website. Bruce makes sure our website is running smoothly and correctly. He also takes all the great pictures you see of our jewelry. Bruce and Shannon work together closely to make sure our product is available to you on a site that is easy to navigate and shop from. Bruce always has some sort of shirt with a saying on it that is hilarious.

Mrs. Jennifer Johnson (aka Sissy) does most of the filling of wholesale reorders. Sissy makes sure your reorders are filled to your specifications. Sissy is very efficient at pulling and filling all reorders for wholesale. She also helps Shannon with billing procedures when she has time. She is a great gal with a grand sense of humor.

Miss Lacey Lance fills all retail orders. Whenever a retail order is placed this is the young lady who fills the order, packs it, and makes sure it is shipped with in a timely manner. Lacey also packs wholesale orders. She ensures that items are accounted for and packed properly for shipping. Lacey is a fantastic girl with a ray of sunshine wherever she goes.

Then there is me. I am Mrs. Rita Plemons. I am in charge of inventory here at Shavonne. I also do wholesale returns. I really enjoy working with each and every one of these individuals. We work well as individuals but we work better as a team. That is what we are at Shavonne, a team, but most importantly we consider each other family and that contributes considerably to the success of our jobs.

You see me mention our humor a lot in this. We have a fabulous time telling jokes and kidding around with each other but your needs and orders are always of up most importance to us.

Hi Wholesalers!

I want to take a minute and go over the features on your wholesale homepage. We have been working hard to make ordering, tracking and basic information easier to find and do.

  1. When you first log into your wholesale account, we have added a search tool bar right below the header. Just click on the type of item & enter the stock number and it will take you to that item’s page. We hope this helps cut down on your ordering time on restock orders.
  2. We will always give you the estimated shipping date right below your account number, this way you can make appropriate shipping plans. Please keep in mind this date is not the delivery date to you, but the date we will ship.
  3. You can now place WIN/WIN orders online! Just click the link Place A Win/Win Order Online and fill out the questionnaire. We thought this might help those who can’t call it in during our business hours because of their schedule. The questionnaire is the basic information that we need, of course if we have any questions we will call or email. Hope this feature is helpful!
  4. The Control Panel Icons:
    • The House will take you back to your wholesale homepage
    • The Man is your account information: such as address, phone number and email address. If you ever need this information updated, this is the icon that will help you.
    • The Book is a log of your orders that you have placed online using your wholesale account number. If you forget to log in before starting your order, at checkout there is a place to enter your account number and password. As long as you log in before you complete the checkout process, it will log it to your account. We are now able to update the shipping quantities through this. Once your order has shipped, you can view the complete list of items shipping. Your shipping fees and any credits will be included on this final page also.
    • The Mailbox is where you can send messages to our wholesale department or receive messages from a representative.
    • TOP 30 will give you a list of the Top 30 selling rings derived from wholesale and retail orders combined over the last 30 days. This will help you get in mind what other people are actually purchasing and what you may want to consider carrying in your line.
  5. Below the control panel on your homepage will be banners running any specials, giveaways, ect. Just click on the banner for more details. These specials are only viewable through your wholesale homepage.

We hope these current features are helpful to you. We are continuously working on new things that hopefully will be just as useful. Win Win orders

Many people who decide to sell wholesale ask about the win win program. Let me explain a little about how it is done.

First of all each win win is put together for the customer. Since many of our customers sell different ways, some may do home parties, have an existing store front, or do retail shows, we try to put together items that will sell for them. Most people will start out with rings only. There are a few who may want a small selection of other items too. What I try to find out from people is how they are going to be selling the items. It helps me put together a good selection for them. After finding out information about where they are located and what items they are interested in, I start on their order.

I start with any new rings we may have and then go to the most popular styles. Choosing sizes and colors differently for some of the customers. If someone has a bridal shop, they mainly want clear stones. If someone sells to the Red Hat Society, they will want red, purple, pink or lavender colors. Sizes vary also and in the past size 6, 7, and 8 were the most popular sizes, but we have seen an increase in smaller sizes and in larger sizes. We have increased our line of size 4 and 5. We have always tried to carry sizes 9, 10, and 11. We now carry several styles in size 12. So we try to have a size for every lady. And I try to put all sizes in all my win win orders. My reason is for my customers to show that they have all these sizes available to sell to their customers. As with colors I try to have all colors represented in the trays, but the number one color is always clear. If set in a tray with a black pad, the clear stones will sparkle. With watches, I try to send one of each style depending on the customer and how many watches they would like in their first order. The same with necklaces, bracelets and earrings.

Re-orders for Win Wins
I ask that the customer have some input on their reorders. For Example: Do they need more of one size? What sizes they have enough in at the time of order? Is there a certain color they are out of or do they need more wedding sets? Do they want it all in Gold or Rhodium? Do they need any in sterling silver? Although they can’t give style numbers, their input is helpful to fill their reorders. If there are certain styles they may want then it is not considered a win win item. Only if I pick the style myself is it considered win win. But as I said earlier their input is very helpful.

The Return of Win Win Items
I do ask they keep the win win items for at least 60 to 90 days before calling for an exchange code. Without the exchange code they are subject to a 25% restocking fee. I only ask that the rings be in clean condition and the tags not wrote on. If it is an item that the customer has ordered their self, IT IS NOT A WIN WIN ITEM. I can only exchange items out if they are items we have chosen. All others are not exchangeable.

We have a contact form you can fill out to receive information about our wholesale division. You can either click this link or follow these instructions to the form: The main page of our website has a link to wholesale jewelry info on the bottom right side of the page.   Once you click on the link you will be redirected to a page that has a link for the wholesale jewelry division, click on it and just fill out the Shavonne Wholesale Division contact form and you will automatically be e-mailed the information you need to start buying wholesale. You may also call in to request this information but filling it out online ensures that we have your correct e-mail address and contact information.

Please make sure you put your name, your business name , and a correct telephone number because you will be contacted within 2-3 business days by Frances to make sure you have received the e-mail. If you are truly interested in buying jewelry at wholesale, it is very important that you read this e-mail. The e-mail contains information about our company, a chart on the five different levels of discount we offer, and about our win/win program.

After you have read the e-mail call us at 1-800-373-7464 and you will be directed to a wholesale representative who will be happy to answer any questions you may have. You may want to write down your questions as you read the e-mail so you do not forget what you want to ask. Remember that there are no stupid questions and we will try to answer any questions you have.

Also this form does not give you a wholesale account number and password. It just requests the information. We do not setup wholesale accounts until your initial wholesale order is ready to ship. More information on that can be found in the email.

GEMSTONES: precious, semi-precious, natural, pearls, man made and “other” types of stones. Diamonds, Cubic Zirconia, Swarovski Austrian Crystal, Crystal, rhinestones and glass are used by jewelry manufacturers throughout the world for both the retail and wholesale jewelry industry. As we have previously spoken, “it is vitally important to know as much as possible about the jewelry manufacturer of whatever type jewelry you are considering buying.

The current retail and wholesale jewelry business is a multi billion dollar industry worldwide. And in the past several hundred years the industry is not totally honest as once was the case dating all the way back to 2,000BC. Of all the precious stones (diamond, ruby, emerald sapphire, ad infinitum) clear, or white, diamonds are by far the most widely mined, cut, polished and prepared for the retail and wholesale jewelry industry. They also are the stones of choice to fill the marketplace with fraud. Diamonds are best known for being “under karated” - that is convincing the innocent, uninformed retail or wholesale buyer the diamond(s) is rated carries a much higher quality level as put forth by the world famous GIA - Gem Institute of America.

“Hiding” defects such as cracks and fissures by a process called “filling,” within the diamond is the second choice to perpetrate a costly fraud on the unsuspecting buyer. One could easily convey a great deal of vitally important information with several thousand words. My most sincere advice to you is to utilize the web and educate yourself BEFORE ever shopping for a diamond.
