In recent weeks we have told you about how wholesale orders are done and retail orders. I hope some of the information has been helpful in your ordering. We are fast approaching the Holidays. We have added some great new items to help in sales. Please check out the new men’s rings as well as the new earrings and necklaces. These would make some great stocking stuffers! For retail they would make great extra gifts to have for any unexpected guests. Most importantly though is to pick an item you really like that way you could always keep it for yourself if you have no one else to give it too!

But seriously we do have some great new items. Also with the holidays so close we are trying to make sure all orders are shipped as fast as we can. But we are striving to make sure they all go out correctly. So, wholesalers, if you know you have a show coming up please make sure you get your orders placed in plenty of time. With retail remember through the holidays the post office is swamped with cards and packages so it might be a little slower.

To all of you who read our blogs I thank you. If you have any questions or ideas, we welcome those. Also any suggestions you might have would be great. We try to answer all emails so feel free to email any questions. Thanks for all the feed back about our fashion jewelry.

Hi Wholesalers!

I want to take a minute and go over the features on your wholesale homepage. We have been working hard to make ordering, tracking and basic information easier to find and do.

When you first log into your wholesale account, we have added a search tool bar right below the header. Just click on the type of item & enter the stock number and it will take you to that item’s page. We hope this helps cut down on your ordering time on restock orders.

We will always give you the estimated shipping date right below your account number, this way you can make appropriate shipping plans. Please keep in mind this date is not the delivery date to you, but the date we will ship.

You can now place WIN/WIN orders online! Just click the link Place A Win/Win Order Online and fill out the questionnaire. We thought this might help those who can’t call it in during our business hours because of their schedule. The questionnaire is the basic information that we need, of course if we have any questions we will call or email. Hope this feature is helpful!

The Control Panel Icons:

The House will take you back to your wholesale homepage

The Man is your account information: such as address, phone number and email address. If you ever need this information updated, this is the icon that will help you.

The Book is a log of your orders that you have placed online using your wholesale account number. If you forget to log in before starting your order, at checkout there is a place to enter your account number and password. As long as you log in before you complete the checkout process, it will log it to your account. We are now able to update the shipping quantities through this. Once your order has shipped, you can view the complete list of items shipping. Your shipping fees and any credits will be included on this final page also.

The Mailbox is where you can send messages to our wholesale department or receive messages from a representative.

TOP 30 will give you a list of the Top 30 selling rings derived from wholesale and retail orders combined over the last 30 days. This will help you get in mind what other people are actually purchasing and what you may want to consider carrying in your line.

Below the control panel on your homepage will be banners running any specials, giveaways, ect. Just click on the banner for more details. These specials are only viewable through your wholesale homepage.

We hope these current features are helpful to you. We are continuously working on new things that hopefully will be just as useful. If you have any suggestions or comments, PLEASE feel free to email those in! Your thoughts and needs are our top priorities and we will do what we can to accommodate. We want to make things easier, as we truly appreciate each and everyone of you.

Many people who decide to sell wholesale ask about the win win program. Let me explain a little about how it is done.

First of all each win win is put together for the customer. Since many of our customers sell different ways, some may do home parties, have an existing store front, or do retail shows, we try to put together items that will sell for them. Most people will start out with rings only. There are a few who may want a small selection of other items too. What I try to find out from people is how they are going to be selling the items. It helps me put together a good selection for them. After finding out information about where they are located and what items they are interested in, I start on their order.

I start with any new rings we may have and then go to the most popular styles. Choosing sizes and colors differently for some of the customers. If someone has a bridal shop, they mainly want clear stones. If someone sells to the Red Hat Society, they will want red, purple, pink or lavender colors. Sizes vary also and in the past size 6, 7, and 8 were the most popular sizes, but we have seen an increase in smaller sizes and in larger sizes. We have increased our line of size 4 and 5. We have always tried to carry sizes 9, 10, and 11. We now carry several styles in size 12. So we try to have a size for every lady. And I try to put all sizes in all my win win orders. My reason is for my customers to show that they have all these sizes available to sell to their customers. As with colors I try to have all colors represented in the trays, but the number one color is always clear. If set in a tray with a black pad, the clear stones will sparkle. With watches, I try to send one of each style depending on the customer and how many watches they would like in their first order. The same with necklaces, bracelets and earrings.

Re-orders for Win Wins
I ask that the customer have some input on their reorders. For Example: Do they need more of one size? What sizes they have enough in at the time of order? Is there a certain color they are out of or do they need more wedding sets? Do they want it all in Gold or Rhodium? Do they need any in sterling silver? Although they can’t give style numbers, their input is helpful to fill their reorders. If there are certain styles they may want then it is not considered a win win item. Only if I pick the style myself is it considered win win. But as I said earlier their input is very helpful.

The Return of Win Win Items
I do ask they keep the win win items for at least 60 to 90 days before calling for an exchange code. Without the exchange code they are subject to a 25% restocking fee. I only ask that the rings be in clean condition and the tags not wrote on. If it is an item that the customer has ordered their self, IT IS NOT A WIN WIN ITEM. I can only exchange items out if they are items we have chosen. All others are not exchangeable.

I hope this information will help you if you are considering taking advantage of the win win program. If you are considering selling fashion jewelry and this would be of interest, please feel free to call 1-800-373-7464. I look forward to any questions you might have.

Interested in wholesale?

We have a contact form you can fill out to receive information about our wholesale division. You can either click this link or follow these instructions to the form: The main page of our website has a link to wholesale jewelry info on the bottom right side of the page. Once you click on the link you will be redirected to a page that has a link for the wholesale jewelry division, click on it and just fill out the Shavonne Wholesale Division contact form and you will automatically be e-mailed the information you need to start buying wholesale. You may also call in to request this information but filling it out online ensures that we have your correct e-mail address and contact information.

Please make sure you put your name, your business name , and a correct telephone number because you will be contacted within 2-3 business days by Frances to make sure you have received the e-mail. If you are truly interested in buying jewelry at wholesale, it is very important that you read this e-mail. The e-mail contains information about our company, a chart on the five different levels of discount we offer, and about our win/win program.

After you have read the e-mail call us at 1-800-373-7464 and you will be directed to a wholesale representative who will be happy to answer any questions you may have. You may want to write down your questions as you read the e-mail so you do not forget what you want to ask. Remember that there are no stupid questions and we will try to answer any questions you have.

Also this form does not give you a wholesale account number and password. It just requests the information. We do not setup wholesale accounts until your initial wholesale order is ready to ship. More information on that can be found in the email.

One of my main jobs here at Shavonne is inventory. We get a lot of calls with questions about why items are out of stock. When we give our answer trying to explain why, some are still confused as to why their item was not shipped. I am going to explain our inventory process and hopefully this will help you to understand.

First I want to let you know about inventory coming in. When we receive a shipment from the factory to restock our inventory it has to go through several steps before it is ever put online to be available for purchase. All merchandise must be opened, counted, written up on an inventory sheet, and then added to inventory to update the website. While this may sound simple, trust me, it turns into a very lengthy process when you take into consideration that we are inspecting the merchandise for color variations, size discrepancies, defects in the finish, defects in the cut of the stones, and looking at the overall appearance of the item. Only after this process is finished will the merchandise be available online for your purchase. Sometimes we have to reject items that are just not up to the quality standards we have. This will put that item back on reorder making it out of stock for another six to eight weeks. Check back on the site regularly for updates on your favorite styles or use your wish list to keep up with styles you want to check on.

Our inventory system is set up to automatically adjust inventory for the items ordered online. We do have wholesalers who order by fax or email and these orders have to be manually deducted from inventory after they are pulled. I do inventory updates daily to try to avoid out of stocks.

From time to time you will have an out of stock item on your order. We always stress first-in first-out, all orders are arranged on a clipboard by time and date, first one in is the first one out. Retail orders are filled from the same stock as wholesale orders. A retail order may have been phoned in right before you placed your order and snagged up the last item available creating another possibility of why your item is out of stock.

We also offer a win-win program to all level 3, 4, and 5 wholesalers. These orders are being pulled at the same time as all other orders. Win-win orders have to be manually deducted from inventory also. This plays a role in out of stock items. On win-wins if there is not a full size range or low stock on items we try not to pull those items. If it is a popular style however, it is necessary to put the item in the order because this program is based upon popular styles and sizes.

I hope this helps explain why out of stocks are sometimes unavoidable. I strive to keep inventory up to date on a daily basis to avoid this situation and make sure your merchandise is available when you need it. Please feel free to comment or ask any questions you may have. Always remember “It’s a great day at Shavonne!”

Hi, I’m Sissy and I pull wholesale reorders. I have been pulling orders at Shavonne for about three years, and I would like to tell everyone what some of the most popular styles are. I will categorize these in three separate sections:

1st Category: Classic

Classics styles are forever popular and have been time tested and are enduring. These are only a few out of many.

11323 zch, zcb: Basic round stone on band engagement type.

20726 zch, zcb: Basic cluster ring.

35604 ccb: Gold eternity band

35428 cch: Rhodium eternity band. These rings can also be worn as thumb rings.

44607 zch: Tiffany inspired. these rings are traditional and ageless

44608 zcb

10143 zch, zcb: Mother’s type ring. Multi colored stones, very versatile.

00916 all colors: Mother/Daughter ring. Comes in many color combinations.

2nd Category: Sleepers

Sleeper styles are styles that I pull very often that many people may look over and not think as them as good sellers; however you never know what you customer may want. These are just a few that I pull a lot of, which I thought you may like to try.

Good Day to Wholesale and Retail Customers!

I have just a few words about out of stock items and discontinued items that I would like to share. We all hate to place an order and receive by email or phone, “I’m sorry we are out of stock on that item, or we no longer have that item because it has been discontinued,” but sometimes it does happen. Sometimes a popular item will become out of stock without real warning. We have ring orders placed weekly to ensure we are receiving stock on a regular basis. So depending on when a style is ordered it may take from 4-6 weeks before we have it back in stock. Some styles may not pass our inspection and they are returned to the factory for correction; adding an additional 4-6 weeks before it is back in stock. I do understand how this may cause some frustration for all of our customers; however we want each and every customer happy with their purchase. These circumstances sometimes make it very hard to give an exact date when someone asks about a specific style or size as to when we will have it back in stock.

When it comes to discontinued items for our retail or wholesale it may show online but someone may have pulled it for another order. Sometimes we have people who fax or email their orders. Every order is done on a first in first out basis (yes even retail) so if someone in wholesale has faxed in a order on Monday and someone from retail orders online Monday night (even though it may show in stock) it would go to the order pulled first. Most orders that come in after 2PM are considered for the next day. If you are a retail customer we try to email or call to see if you would like to make another selection or maybe another size. If you are in Wholesale; we put the DC by the item number to let you know it is Discontinued.

It is always our intention to help each and every customer we have whether it be a wholesale customer, a future wholesale customer, or a retail customer. No one customer is more important. EACH AND EVERY CUSTOMER IS EQUAL AND ALL ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO EVERYONE HERE. I look forward to talking with all our customers. And I welcome any and all comments you may have to help us improve our service to our Wholesale and Retail customers.

Archeologists have identified Incan methods, Egyptian methods, Native American methods, ad infinitum – dating to several thousand years. Even going back to the very early times in America, jewelry manufacturing was basically done by the talented village blacksmith. This was the one craftsman used to working with heated metals, much as he created horseshoes.

Historically the oldest societies worked basically with their hands and rough hewn tools. Until the adaptation of the modern computer in the 1970′s, surprisingly little had been done to “modernize” jewelry manufacturing. All manufacturing began to change in a rather spectacular fashion with the new methods of creating fine and fashion jewelry made available by using a computer.

Much of the exquisite work of today is still initially designed by talented individual designers with paper and pencil. The remainder of the most beautiful creations are created entirely in the computer. Utilizing full 3-dimensional imagery has elevated so much of what we see today. Ring designers, for example, keep in mind what will be required for the manufacturer to exactly recreate their design. The most modern manufacturers’ sample division can furnish the designer a virtually rendered (VR) image which is generated using some form of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. This VR shows a computer generated image of what the fashion jewelry item will look like prior to making a sample and has become invaluable to modern day creations for manufacturing.

Over the next 2 to 3 Fridays, I will go into detail about the fashion jewelry manufacturing process that fuels our retail and wholesale jewelry business.
